You need to stop here. Old school truck stop. Diamond in the rough. Food is superb, friendly staff, and free showers. A must stop. The parking lot is rough, but we'll worth it. I was given free pumpkin and sweet potato cake while I waited on my order. Wow. The lady who gave me the cake was like everyone's grandma. We talked for a while, and she even gave me a hug before I left. Wonderful people. I felt at home. I will definitely be back. Grilled chicken salad in the picture. I would have put a picture of the cake, but I ate it. 😋 Gone quickly Ps. I stopped here a week later and got a free shower with towels. Adding pictures. Also have laundry service. ~ James M

Couldn't find a truck stop around 2am with open parking but I was like man, this one will probably do. Still. At 2am I was able to get me a spot. The next morning I had the Catfish Sandwich. I've had that at many different places but the size of this one was awesome! I actually got kinda excited. It was a good amount of greasy. The fries were good. The sweet tea was the perfect amount of "too sweet". Haha the meal was great. Throughly satisfied. Had to do some pushups when I came out though so I didn't take a nap. Luckily I got some more sweet tea so that should help 😁 🤙 I'll be back through. ~ Avery R

Stopped here because I read so many positive reviews and they have free truck parking. The Cafe definitely didn’t disappoint, I got a cheeseburger and fries and everything was excellent and flavorful. And no, they weren’t served on a paper plate like a previous review had stated. Sorry I didn’t take any pictures 😢 Payed at the counter and was greeted by a very friendly cashier named Mariah. All in all I like stopping here and I will again next time I’m in the area. ~ Robert W

This place has character... it is aged. It had more than I would ever need ...but I’m not someone who needs much. The toilet was clean enough I didn’t feel like I was gonna get bit by anything LOL. I didn’t use the showers didn’t even see if they had showers...I felt like it was a safe place to park. I loved my bologna sandwich and french fries! The staff was friendly. Don’t get this way very often but I’ll keep in mind if I do again. ~ PS “

This place reminds me of how truck stops used to be. Everyone was so friendly and the food was amazing. They have a little bit of everything. I'll definitely be putting this place in my GPS for future stops. Clean restrooms and showers. You can smell the home cooking as soon as you get out of your truck. One of the best old school truck stops! Decent selection, clean enough restrooms, and friendly people.... 24 hr. restaurant. They don’t get any better than this! Huge portions, reasonably priced, and the best damn waitress around. Definitely old school. Well worth the stop. Wife and I were impressed. Going back in the morning before we leave. My review is based on 16 years driving a semi and trying to wind up many a day with something good to eat. Rarely can I. I just stopped here for the first time heading north from Louisiana and up to Iowa. At the least I was hoping for a spot to park overnight. I was pleseantly surprised to learn that they have a 24 hour restaurant and a very very good buffet. It's great. ~ Cattle P

Store and Restaurant is locals friendly type service and quality, aim to please! They connect with you , look for great Southern hospitality... Food was really good, fair prices, dogs in parking lots, + across the street belong to locals....kinda taken care of like family should be....lol I'm definitely returning soon as I can. ~ 7Ann7 S

This truck stop is an old gem the staff here is great especially the guy working at the reception Jatt Singh he is very sweet to the customers gas rates here are lower than expected than the whole state I will tell my friends once in a while come here ~ Arshdeep S

It’s been a few years since going to Griffis Truck Stop and I’m still talking about my food experience - DAYUM is was good. I’m here to send the location to a friend as he drives through to NOLA. The Griffis brothers, who I met while there, have a great thing going here! ~ Richard N

The diner has great food. They stay open late and open at 5am. Parking is easy and safe with lots of lights. Store is very clean and kept. Little of everything inside and a restaurant. I had the Western omelet and well-done hash browns, it was delicious. ~ Phillip T

Stopped in to park roughly about 10pm. Was lucky the cafe was open until 1030pm. Ordered a philly and a bacon cheeseburger. Fryer was down, but I am glad I stopped and got food. It was hands down the best bacon cheeseburger I've had to date! And also a nice quiet place to get some sleep. ~ Jessee H

Very nice folks who work here. Parking lot isn’t great but it’s a place to park. The FREE shower was very good considering it was FREE. They supply a rag and towel so please leave the awesome folks a tip if you shower. I left a $5 but that’s just me. Restaurant is still closed at the moment. ~ Brian G

It's hard to find good food and good parking as a truck driver. I've passed by this place at least 100 times and I finally stopped today. Worth it. The cook is amazing, clean restrooms, and friendly staff. ~ phillip p

Wife and I had a great chicken fried steak on our way back to St. Louis, after visiting my old stomping grounds in Louisiana. The staff is awesome and kind. Will definitely be stopping back again every time I visit home. ~ Jeff L

Dirt parking lot just as an fyi, ladies bathroom clean and well stocked, food at restaurant was tasty, but above all staffing was super friendly and helpful!! Great place to stay o/n while waiting to deliver. ~ Laura C
